BMW has been a long-time sponsor of the prestigious Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este event, known for its exclusivity. The body of this one-of-a-kind two-seater vehicle was meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans from Superstile, located in Turin. The front grille of the vehicle features double grille struts, resembling the BMW 328 that triumphed in the Mille Miglia race in 1940. The designers aimed to evoke nostalgia for this iconic victory, as the Eisenach-built BMW car won the race again 70 years later.

The rear of the vehicle proudly displays the “Touring” emblem, paying homage to the original 02 Touring models produced from 1971 onward. Furthermore, the Touring Coupé’s paint, named Sparkling Lario, was individually mixed, with “Lario” being the local name for Lake Como. The paint incorporates countless tiny blue glass fragments to create a beautiful, liquid-like deep shimmer.

The standout feature of the BMW Touring Coupé is its shooting brake rear design, which remains exclusive to this particular model.

In terms of specifications, the Touring Coupé comes equipped with a combustion engine. The wheels of the vehicle are uniquely designed, with 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear, featuring 20 spokes divided into five main groups. The rims are finished in a silver-bronze color, matching the window surrounds and metallic accents on the exterior mirror bases. The body of the vehicle is entirely new from the B-pillar onwards, resulting in redesigned rear side windows, the Hofmeister kink, and the rear window.

When observed from the rear, the Touring Coupé appears remarkably wide, particularly when viewed from a lower angle, such as by other drivers on the road. A roof edge spoiler extends the coupé roofline downwards, while a prominent diffuser painted in the vehicle’s color accommodates two angular tailpipes. Despite the overall elegance of the body shape, these tailpipes maintain a consistent design theme.

Under the hood, the Touring Coupé boasts an exhaust system that signifies BMW’s celebration of the era of refined combustion engines. Propelling this unique vehicle is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder twin-scroll turbo engine, delivering 340 horsepower. Technically based on the BMW Z4 M40i, which is exclusively available as a roadster, the Touring Coupé offers a distinct variation not found in the standard coupé variant produced by Toyota, known as the visually distinct Supra.

Overall, BMW’s Z4 Touring Coupé with the Shooting Brake design showcases the brand’s commitment to blending heritage, craftsmanship, and cutting-edge engineering in an exclusive and visually captivating package.

The BMW Concept Touring Coupé is a unique and fully functional vehicle that showcases the combination of German engineering and Italian craftsmanship. It is designed as a Shooting Brake, which is a term used to describe a two-seater station wagon with a coupé-like roofline.

To ensure a luxurious and premium interior, the designers have paid great attention to detail, particularly in the use of high-quality leather. The entire trunk of the vehicle is lined with leather sourced from Poltrona Frau, a renowned Italian furniture manufacturer. The leather used is Nappa leather, known for its softness and durability.

The interior features a two-tone leather design, with the top portion dyed in a dark gray color called Dusty, while the lower portion is a warm brown shade known as Joe. The center console of the vehicle includes a gray leather insert with embossed touring lettering. Even the floor mats are covered in expensive Poltrona Frau leather, demonstrating the commitment to using genuine materials throughout the vehicle.

Attention to detail is also evident in the integration of stainless steel inserts into the door sills, which bear the Touring lettering from the 1970s. The seats have braided leather stitching on the sides, adding a touch of elegance. Behind the headrests, there are pragmatic yet stylishly shaped equipment hooks that can be used to hang clothing.

The trunk of the Touring Coupé is also fully lined with leather, and wide leather lashing straps are attached to the floor. LED light strips provide illumination in the rear compartment, and there is a small hatch that may be capable of accommodating items such as skis. The exact trunk volume has not been specified, but it is mentioned that two bags from luxury luggage manufacturer Schedoni can fit inside. These bags are specially made for the Touring Coupé and feature the same brown leather and braided leather stitching as the seats.
