DR 1.0 EV: Small Electric Car with a Range of 210 km

The DR 1.0 EV is an electric car produced by DR Automobiles in Italy. It is a compact vehicle with a length of 3.20 meters and offers four full-size seats. The car resembles the Smart Fortwo in terms of appearance. It is powered by an electric motor located on the rear axle, with an output of 45 kW and 150 Nm of torque. This allows the DR 1.0 EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 17 seconds, with a top speed of 120 km/h. The car weighs just under one ton.

The DR 1.0 EV is equipped with a 31 kWh battery, which provides a range of up to 210 kilometers according to the WLTP standard. After reaching the maximum range, the car needs to be recharged. It takes approximately 6.5 hours to fully charge the battery using a 6.6 kW charging capacity. Alternatively, using a 40 kW charger, the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in 35 minutes.

In Italy, the DR 1.0 EV is only available with full equipment. This includes features such as air conditioning, an inductive charging cradle, a 3.5-inch digital cockpit, a nearly ten-inch touchscreen on the dashboard, Bluetooth connectivity, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto compatibility.

DR Automobiles provides a battery guarantee of eight years or 100,000 kilometers for the DR 1.0 EV. The car is priced at 25,900 euros in Italy, and it offers twice the seating capacity and double the range compared to the Smart Fortwo EQ, albeit at a slightly higher cost.
