Peugeot 208 Hearse: Rest in a Small Stretch Car

Undertakers often prefer high-end vehicles for the dignified journey to the final resting place. However, an Argentine coachbuilder, Carrozados Rosano, has recently unveiled a unique hearse conversion based on the Peugeot 208, offering a more modest approach to this solemn transportation.

Vehicle Design and Modifications:

Carrozados Rosano, located in Cordoba, Argentina, showcased their latest creation, the Peugeot 208 hearse, through their official Facebook channel. The coachbuilder has retained the front and rear end of the base model, while the rest of the car has been extensively modified.

Notably, the vehicle’s length has been dramatically increased, surpassing all other Peugeot models. The original five-door configuration has been transformed into a three-door layout. The roofline is significantly raised, extending above the driver’s cabin, followed by a wide B-pillar and an exceptionally long side window.

Interior Features and Cargo Space:

The transformed hearse boasts a lavishly glazed loading area behind a partition. Within this space, coffins are accommodated on a stainless steel bed equipped with castors. The entire interior ambiance is adorned with light Nappa leather, enhancing the sense of elegance. The cabin ceiling features a multi-adjustable LED light, providing appropriate mood lighting. The loading and unloading process is facilitated by a spacious hatch that extends into the roof.

Engine Specifications:

Considering the serene nature of the journey to the final resting place, the Peugeot 208 hearse relies on the base engine offered by Peugeot. In Argentina, this engine is a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, generating 83 horsepower and 118 Nm of torque. Despite its modest power output, it proves to be sufficient for the purpose of the hearse.
