VW Polo GTI Edition 25: Special Model for Anniversary

Volkswagen is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Polo GTI by introducing a limited edition model called the Polo GTI Edition 25. This special model offers enhanced features compared to the standard version.

The Polo GTI Edition 25 is equipped with a two-liter TSI engine that delivers a power output of 207 horsepower and a torque of 320 Nm. It boasts impressive acceleration, going from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.5 seconds. The car also features a specially tuned sports suspension that lowers the body by 15 millimeters and works in conjunction with the XDS electronic differential lock to provide excellent driving dynamics and improved traction.

In terms of appearance, the Polo GTI Edition 25 showcases exclusive anniversary equipment. It features distinctive red-painted brake calipers and trim strips, a honeycomb radiator grille, and chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes, all typical of the GTI aesthetic. The sporty look is further accentuated by black exterior mirrors and a black roof. Inside the vehicle, the Polo GTI Edition 25 boasts sports seats with perforated black and red leather, adorned with an embroidered “GTI” logo. Glossy black inlays with red “GTI” lettering add a touch of elegance. The limited edition nature of the vehicle is emphasized by the door sills, which bear the “One of 2,500” logo.

The special model comes equipped with standard IQ.Light-LED matrix headlights that provide dynamic high-beam assistance and LED daytime running lights for even and consistent illumination of the road. It also includes a multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in leather with shift paddles and a “25” logo. Additionally, the Polo GTI Edition 25 incorporates several advanced assistance systems found in higher-class vehicles. It offers partially automated driving capabilities through the optional Travel Assist feature, included in the “IQ.Drive” assistance package. This system can take control of steering, braking, and acceleration from 0 km/h up to the Travel Assist control limit of 210 km/h.

Starting from June 1st, 2023, the Polo GTI Edition 25 will be available for purchase in Germany. It carries a starting price of 35,205 euros, while the standard production Polo GTI begins at 33,450 euros. Customers can choose from a range of color options, including Pure White, Kings Red Metallic, Reef Blue Metallic, Smoke Gray Metallic, Deep Black Pearl Effect, and Ascot Gray.

The anniversary model Polo GTI Edition 25 not only offers impressive performance but also includes a comprehensive set of standard features and unique design elements that distinguish it from previous Polo models.
